  • Q1.Why is ROC-A2 (Prev. ROC-1C) cheaper than ROC-A1 (Prev. ROC-1B)?
    Machining is not required and we can mass produce ROC-1C by casting and foundry, so that it costs less.
  • Q2.Isn’t cast goods fragile?
    We improved elongation by alloy and produced infrangible castings,
  • Q3.Isn’t the product made in China?
    No, ROC-A2 (Prev. ROC-1C) is produced, treated by heating, and assembled in Korea
  • Q4.Will the presence of burr on the cutting part of rebarsaffect coupler insertion?
    No, the entry unit of coupler is designed to be enable easy insertion of rebars regardless of the presence of burr.
  • Q5.Will ROC-A2 (Prev. ROC-1C) easily be rusty?
    No, We paint and plait the couplers during production so that they can be rust-resistant.
  • Q6.Will adhesive power of concrete be negatively influence by thecoated surface of couplers?
    No, the surface coating of ROC-A2 (Prev. ROC-1C) is the same as the ones that are supplied to Tokyo Steel in Japan.
    Also, we produce couplers with epoxy coated bars.
  • Q7.Is there any structural problem with the middle plastic part of couplers?
    No, this middle plastic part simply helps insertion of rebar and there is nothing to do with rebar splicing power.
  • Q8.Will there any bad influence on the thickness of cover concrete or offset boundary for
    reinforcement due to a big external diameter?
    The external diameter of our products is thinner than the thickness of lap splicing. According to Korean Building
    Code 2016, the minimum splicing distance of tension bar of reinforced concrete is 750mm. So, there will be no
    problem with arrangement of bars.
  • Q9.Isn’t it weak because of the hole on the middle part?
    It is still strong because the cross-section area of middle part is big and its strength is also high.
